  1. Dearest Marina,
What a colorful parade! Love the tassels the horses wear and the ladies side-saddle riding! Must be a special festivity. The striped drapes in that gazebo also look heavenly.
Hugs to you and happy Ascension Day.

    1. It's the main festivity in Jerez. Horses and wine are very important in the city and the main reason to visit us, the third reason is Flamenco. We recibe people from all over the world to know our horses, our Flamenco and to taste our Sherry

  2. Good Afternoon Marina,
What a wonderfully vibrant and colourful festival. The young lady in the photograph pouring a drink.....is that sherry? it is a really special way of pouring and must take hours of practise.
I have really enjoyed seeing these photographs....just beautiful.
    Best Wishes

    1. Thank you Daphne! The girl is pouring Sherry. People who do this is called "Venenciador" because they pour the wine with the "Venencia" that is very useful to take off the wine from the barrel.

    1. Hi Rosemary! It's a very special week. The beginning of this fair was the horses sell.
The first privilege to organize a commercial fair was conceded by the King Alfonso X The Wise after the reconquer in 1264.
