This is also Jerez in summer. Esto es Jerez en verano también

Saint Marta Procession in the oldest neighbourhood
of the city

Curiously this city was of Arab origin
and this square is called Market Square because here,
It was set the old Market of spices and silks
 in the Arab City.

The following photo correspond with the name of the square
SQUARE OF THE MARKET

PLAZA DEL MERCADO

The houses are protected by the Andalousian Government
and they must control all the restaurations

There are wine cellars in the area, and
some of them have been
restored
Hay bodegas en toda la zona
y algunas de ellas han sido restauradas

This one is "Bodegas Tradición"
wine cellar and museum of painting
Esta es " Bodegas Tracición"
 bodega y museo de pintura

You can find churches all over the neighbourhood, built over the old mosques of the Arab city after the reconquer of the city by the King Alfonso X, the Wise

Centenary trees
Arboles centenarios

And images difficult to forget

  1. Dear Marina - this post has reminded me so much of watching the Easter parades in Cuenca - a sight I will never forget.
I love the way you have captured the church steeples bathed in the sunlight whilst below is still in shadow.
